This past weekend we took a family trip to the mountains. Our first stop was Tweetsie Railroad- an Old West amusement park. It was really cold, so we had to bundle up in coats, hats and mittens. We got to take a train ride around the mountain and see some cowboys and Indians. Then we stopped in for some warm pizza and hot chocolate. After we warmed up a bit we got to ride some rides. Since it was such a cold day, there were hardly any people there and on a few of the rides me and Sydney were the only ones riding! We had a good time on the planes, boats and cars and we even took a ski lift to the top where we got to see some animals. After all that riding we were cold again, so we decided to get some funnel cake- it was sooo yummy and I made quite a mess with it! We were pretty exhausted after our fun day, so we headed to our hotel room for the night. The next day we went on a hike and then to Grandfather mountain. Me and Sydney had a great time crossing the big suspension bridge and climbing over the big boulders and rocks. I think we made mommy a little nervous though! It was amazing to be on top of the mountain and see everything below us! After our hike we got to see some more animals and even got to feed some black bears! They were funny because they would do tricks for the food like begging or sticking out their tongues! It was a fun, exhauting day, so we headed back to our hotel. On Tuesday we decided we would explore the little town of Blowing Rock before heading home. There was a fun park to play at, some neat stores to explore, we had another yummy lunch and we got ice cream as our last stop. It was a fun trip to the mountains!
