What a great day it’s been! This is the first year me and Ethan have been at home for Christmas, so it was really neat to wake up in our own beds and come downstairs to see what Santa had left us! The first thing we checked was to see if all the cookies and milk were gone and, of course, they were! Then we tore into our stockings. We got lots of fun stuff like sunglasses, candy, books and toys. Then we headed into the playroom, where our Christmas tree was, and were amazed at all the presents under the tree! We had such a good time handing them out and watching each other open them. Ethan was fast and opened one after another, while I took my time and wanted to play with each one after I opened it. We got lots of great stuff- I got a new dollhouse with furniture, some clothes, a new cupcake blanket and pillow that mommy made, a backpack, Candyland and some play food for my kitchen! Ethan got Tinkertoys, Legos, a tool set, a checkers game, Mariokart and a remote control car. We were so excited about all of our wonderful girts. But, Ethan was even more excited to let mommy and daddy open the gifts he had bought at Santa’s bag a few weeks ago. He got daddy a new hat that said #1 Dad and he got mommy a fly swater. Mommy and daddy thought the gifts were very thoughtful because Ethan knows how much daddy likes to wear hats and how much mommy doesn’t like searching for a magazine to swat at the bugs we get in the house during the summer! I think we all enjoyed all of our presents. After the huge mess of wrapping paper and boxes was cleaned up we got to play with some of our toys. We had a great first Christmas at home!
