Well, baby Sydney has finally arrived and has been in this world for almost a whole week! It sure is fun to have a baby sister. I am being such a good big brother, too! When I visited mommy in the hospital I even got to hold her. She is so tiny! I’ve been very helpful, too. I pat her head, help her with her pacifier, give her a rattle when she’s crying, and I even got to help daddy give her a bottle. While mommy was in the hospital my Uncle Scott, Aunt Ashley, and cousins Becca and Andrew came to visit. I had such a great time playing with my cousins. We played in my sandbox and went to Chucky E. Cheese’s. My grandma and grandpa came to visit, too. And I’ve been keeping them very busy these last few days. My sister is doing very well, but I guess I’ll let her tell you about her arrival…
Hello world! I have arrived. I was born almost a week ago- Thursday April 12th at 2:37am to be exact. Mommy’s labor wasn’t quite as easy as it was with my brother, but she got through it! Once I was ready to enter the world it only took 10 minutes to get me out! Now that’s fast! I was 7 pounds even and 20 inches long. What an exciting time it has been. I have been busy eating and sleeping mostly. I try to stay awake sometimes, but being born is exhausting! I’ve had lots of vistors already and I’ve really enjoyed meeting them all. My mommy and daddy are taking good care of me and I LOVE my big brother. I went to the doctor this past Monday and I’ve already gained 5 ounces since leaving the hospital, so now I weigh 6 pounds 13 ounces. I can’t wait to see what the next week brings!
Well, that’s my sister’s story. I guess I’ll be sharing this blog with her now, so you can find out what we’ve both been up to! As usual, mommy and daddy have taken LOTS of pictures, so we hope you enjoy them!
