In the past three weeks, I’ve started smiling a lot- almost every time I see my mommy or daddy. I love to coo and make silly noises and I enjoy having conversations with my mommy and daddy. They bought me a gymini mat that has a monkey, parrot, giraffe, and elephant hanging from it and I love batting at them. I can even grab on to the monkey’s arm sometimes! I am working on keeping my head up and do a pretty good job when I’m lying on mommy’s or daddy’s shoulder. I also love taking naps on mommy’s or daddy’s shoulder- they are so cuddly! I only wake up one time during the night now and that makes mommy very happy. I am a very fast eater and can finish in about 15 minutes! I enjoy car rides now and mommy and daddy have taken me shopping a few times. We love spending time together.
On August 17, I had my two month appointment. 
I weighed 14 pounds 2 ounces and was 24 ¾ inches long! We were all very surprised at how much weight I had gained- I am a pudgy little boy! I had to get four shots at this appointment, but I only cried for a few minutes and then fell asleep. After my appointment we went to visit mommy’s school. There were a few teachers there, but I slept most of the time, so I didn’t see many of them.
On August 23 Mommy took me to visit Amanda and Ian and it was so much fun! Amanda is such a nice lady and I liked it when she held me. Ian was fun too. He’s a little older than me, but I’m sure we’ll be friends soon. The next day Mommy took me back to her school. All the teachers were there and I was awake so I got to see them. Karen was a very nice lady and I hope I get to visit her again soon.
I am doing much better controlling my arms and focusing on objects. I love to look at the monkey and parrot on my gymini mat and I can easily grab hold of the monkey’s tail now.
Mommy put in my crib for a nap today (August 30). I did really well and didn’t mind being in there at all. It kind of made mommy sad because I know how much she loves to hold me.
