This past weekend mommy and daddy took me to a place called Charleston. It was very fun. The first day we went to a place called Magnolia Plantations. First we stopped at the petting zoo. There were lots of neat animals. The first animal I saw was a brightly colored rooster. He looked mean, so we didn’t get too close. When we were going through the two gates to enter the zoo, mommy almost let one of the goats escape. Daddy and me tried to get in his way to keep him in, but he head-butted daddy’s shin. He said it hurt. We were able to get the goat back in after a minute, though. After we got the one goat back in, I got to pet another one that was lying on the ground. I also got to see a peacock, some mean geese, a deer, some turtles. and a mini horse. I really liked getting to see all the different animals.
Next, we went walking through some trails that had a lot of flowers and neat trees. We found an area with a lot of grass. I had so much fun crawling around and picking up leaves. We also went over many bridges and I got to grab at many different colored flowers. It took a really long time to walk the whole trail and I was exhausted. There were so many interesting things to look at that I forgot to smile in a lot of my pictures. I had a lot of fun, though.
After the trail, daddy and me went through a maze made of big green bushes. We ran into several dead-ends before we finally made it to the statue in the middle. Daddy held me up over the bushes so mommy could find us.
