I’ve been very busy the last month and a half! I’ve done all kinds of new things. Me and my playgroup pals have a great time together every week. We’ve been on several outings, too. One day we went to a place called Discovery Place and got to play with some neat stuff like tools, a big truck, water toys, and even a slide! It was a lot of fun. We also went back to Imaginon and then got to play in the water fountain again. Of course, I got soaking wet! Last week we went to a place called Charlotte at Play and they had all kinds of neat stuff to do. We got to ride on some push cars, listen to stories, go to the market and buy groceries, and play in a giant tree! I love my playgroup!
This month Daddy got to be a kid, too. He got to play in the mud! Last weekend we went to watch him in a mud run. Him and some friends ran a race over some neat obstacles like the army men. They had to climb up walls, and swim through muddy water, and run up big hills. He said it was very tiring, but a lot of fun. I wish I could have played in that mud- maybe next time!
My sandbox is finally finished and even has sand in it now! I like to push around my trucks and knock over the sand castles mommy and daddy build.
Grandma and Grandpa Compton came to visit over Labor Day. I love having visitors! We had a great time. They played with me and took me outside and even to the store! But, I also was teething the whole time they were here, so I wasn’t feeling as good as I usually do. Later that week I got three teeth- 2 in the back and 1 in the front. Those back teeth sure do make chewing a lot easier!
I got two injuries in the last 2 weeks, too! I do not like getting hurt! I fell and hit a table and got a black eye and later that week I fell on my sippy cup and bruised my nose! I guess I’ll have to be more careful!
I still don’t say too many real words, but I’m babbling all the time and I understand a lot of what mommy and daddy say to me. I know what books, shoes, eating, truck, snack, drink, toys, diapers, blankie, and car mean (just to name a few!).
That’s all for now. More news to come!
